Reddit Post & Comment Exporter to CSV — Chrome extension

In short

Reads only what's already public on the Reddit post or comment page you're viewing.
Your exported CSV goes straight to your own device — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
One third-party service is involved: ExtensionPay, solely for the optional Pro purchase. An optional feedback form may open if you uninstall.

What this extension does

Reddit Post & Comment Exporter to CSV reads publicly visible post and comment data from Reddit pages you load at reddit.com/r/* and lets you export it to a CSV file on your own device. That's its entire function.

What data it accesses

Reddit post and comment page content. While you're on a subreddit listing page or a post's comment page, the extension reads the post cards or comment tree rendered on that page, including post title, author, score, comment count, created date, URL and body snippet, or comment author, score, created time, depth, parent ID, body, and permalink. All of this is data Reddit already displays publicly to anyone who loads that page; the extension does not access any Reddit account you're signed into, private messages, saved items, or voting history beyond what's visibly rendered on the page.

Subscription status. The extension uses a third-party billing service, ExtensionPay, to check whether you've purchased Pro and to process payment if you choose to upgrade. ExtensionPay — via its processor, Stripe — handles anything you enter at checkout directly; this extension never receives or stores your payment details, only a paid/free status flag.

What data it stores

Your paid/free status is cached locally in chrome.storage.local so the extension doesn't need to check the server on every page load. This stays on your device.
Post and comment rows you export are written directly to a CSV file that downloads to your computer. The extension does not upload, transmit, or retain a copy of your exported data anywhere.

What this extension does not do

Track your browsing outside reddit.com/r/
Collect analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics
Sell, share, or transmit your exported post/comment data to any third party
Require an account or sign-in to use the free tier
Access your Reddit login, private messages, or payment methods

Third parties

The only third-party service involved is ExtensionPay (billing and payment processing for the optional Pro upgrade). See ExtensionPay's privacy policy for how they handle payment information. Stripe processes any purchase on ExtensionPay's behalf; this extension never sees your card details.

If you uninstall the extension, a short optional feedback page opens, hosted on Google Forms. Answering is entirely up to you, and nothing is sent unless you submit it. Answers are anonymous unless you choose to include your email.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same location with a new "last updated" date.
